Srinivas Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Center Mangalore
The late Sri A Shamrao created the Srinivas Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre in Mangalore. The Shri A Shamrao foundation was founded in 1988 with the intention of advancing education. The foundation firmly believed that social revolution could only be wrought via education. By profession, Shri Adka Shamrao was an educator. He was employed in Mangalore as a teacher and afterwards as a headmaster. He continued to pursue his passion for supporting education even after he retired. In Srinivasnagar, he founded the SIMRC, a medical college and research facility. The life is supposed to be that which is purposeful and uplifts fellow humans, according to a sukta in Abhisheka. The late shri A Shamrao and his support wife Smt Indramma founded a medical college and hospital with a very high standard because they had a clear understanding of life’s purpose and were committed to the welfare of the community. The college is accredited by the Indian Medical Council and is associated with Bangalore’s Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
